You'll never going to get through 5th grade if you don't have fun. Everything you do in 5th grade is awesome--so enjoy it! It may seem overwhelming to have letter grades and project after project but if you think of it as fun, it will be. More advice would be to listen well, ask questions, be thoughtful, don't speak when it's not your turn, and, again, have FUN!!! They are so nice and kind and welcome you into 5th grade like you are there long lost friends! You will get to know them by he second day of school and you also do a ton of fun things- especially during he first few weeks of 5th grade. You don't get as much home work at the beginning of the year than in the middle. Although at the end of the year again the teachers try to lower the homework for the end of the year too. Plus you would think there would be a lot of tests, but really there aren't many, just a few mostly during the middle of the year. So you pretty much behind. I recommend taking french horn lessons it really helps you get your mind off of things. French horn may be the hardest instrument but trust me, It's worth it.
